Crazy Weekend

For those of you that really know me, you know that I love dogs.. I mean LOVE dogs, like when those Sarah McLaughlin commercials come on about the poor homeless dogs I have to leave the room.. and I have wanted one for a very long time. So on Saturday I was walking out of school when I get a phone call from one of my good friend, Katlin Fowles, she called to tell me that a guy was selling chihuahua puppies at Wal Mart. I haven't ever been a fan of chihuahuas but I decided to just go and play with them. BIG MISTAKE! As soon as I saw their cute button noses and adorable little paws... I fell in love! So.. after a little convincing I got one!
MEET HARLY!

So we got him and went in Wal Mart and bought him a cute collar and some food and took him home!

It surprises me how small he is! He is very loving, adventurous, scared, protective, and cuddly!
I have had him for four days and last night I really realized that I am not the perfect owner for a chihuahua. Chihuahuas don't like being put down, they are very dependent of their owner. So I called the man that was selling them and asked if there was someone else that was wanting a pup. He said there was and that he would pick up Harly tomorrow (today). I cried like a baby last night and I believe Harly knew what was going to happen.....ha I sound like a crazy woman who will end up living with 100 cats and 0 husbands :) But seriously he looked at me with his big black eyes and whimpered...:( sad sad day...
Since I am D'laney and I cant function with out lists I listed out the pros of me giving Harly back...
1. I get attached too easily to living things and everytime I would leave Harly he would cry and cry and it would break my heart.
2. I couldnt just go to Destry and Rileys by my self and play with Hinder... I had my own little baby in my lap all the time.. I miss Hinder
3. I am gone to school too much and that would require alot of dog sitters
4. Having a lot of dog sitters means that he would be in a lot of different apartments/houses and he would never really get potty trained at my house.
5. I don't have to spend a bunch of money that should be going to other things like rent, tuition and living expenses.
6. I am not the type of person that enjoys sitting on the couch for hours and hours watching TV and that's what I had to do with Harly because he always needed a lap to sleep in

Alright alright so the list was just to make myself feel better and less like a dog abuser. But I got to do what I got to do.

So bye bye Harly it was a fun weekend!

awww.. i didnt' know you are giving Harly back- otherwise we (Ava and I) would have said goodbye. Ava stands on our couch staring at the window to Des and Riley's house and looks really hard for "poppy? poppy?"

Well, i'll say this much, i'm glad you have a way to give him back without too many issues and it's a good idea that you are- there's another dog out there for you when you're all settled. hahahaha, i'm cracking up over your 100 cats and 0 husbands comment, hilarious!

we were a good mommy. um i mean, owner. (hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha)
